What can I say? Absolutely amazing brief overnight stay wishing I had booked many more nights. When I walked into our room and saw the clouds settling on the Austrian mountains, a lodge chair with a blanket to enjoy them I was in heaven. Pros: Excellent food with dinner and breakfast included in the price. Huge variety of breakfast options. Lovely room with a deep soaking tub in the center of the bedroom making it a romantic setting. Outstanding customer service with English spoken by the front desk and wait staff. Swimming pool - heated for adults only. Spa services which unfortunately we don’t have time to try out. Cons: Huge with different buildings on a hillside, we were in the one located furthest away from the front desk so rather easy to get lost which I did several times. After getting into a routine it would become much easier to navigate. Highly recommend this lodge in a precious little town! Many of the guests appear to be regulars here. Very quiet and well mannered crowd compared to most places filled with loud Americans (yes I am one but can read a room and behave accordingly).

While the evening service in the restaurant was excellent, the overall experience fell well short of expectations for a five-star hotel. Due to the open kitchen, the smell of food permeated the entire property — already noticeable at breakfast and even more so at lunchtime. The spa area was underwhelming and lacked the sophistication one would expect from a luxury property. From the outside, the hotel also fails to present the elegance typical of its rating. Particularly troubling were the poor standards of cleanliness in our room, including visible dirt left by previous guests, and the front desk staff, whose service was unfortunately chaotic and unprofessional. One positive note: the Wi-Fi connection was reliable and fast throughout the property. A stay here might suit less demanding guests, but for those expecting true five-star quality, this is not the right place.

Just returned from a wonderful week. Been coming to this hotel since 2017. Some times twice a year. It’s is quite simply the best in Alpbach. They do not put a foot wrong all of the team are out standing. Rooms food. And the feel of the hotel. Are outstanding.

Just perfect. Every detail taken care of, we were treated like family. The staff are absolutely lovely, amazing facilities and service. Whole experience was flawless. Best hotel I've ever stayed in, would give back again and again. Cannot recommend highly enough.

In this review I’m going to talk about the fine dining and the new spa First the fine dining you can or have 2/5/7 courses of some of the finest food around Alpbach My 7 course menu was with out fish as I don’t eat it Greetings from the kitchen 3 small dishes that were unbelievable in taste and looks Then Mushroom mousse with beetroot. Very very nice Next was Medallion of veal. Sucking pig Sirloin melt in the mouth Lastly Churd cheese dumpling Followed by a sweet gift from the chef Hank’s Treichl. An outstanding chef winner of awards. If you’re staying or not. Do try the tasting menu. Now the spa. In a word WOW the thought that has gone into this is amazing I have not put pic up as it would spoil the sparse the walk from the hotel to it is a joy the colours for-me the lighting were outstanding. As usual the rest of the hotel food staff are all up to the now 5 stars it’s has and should have . I traveled with INGHAMS please give it a try.

Another heavenly fortnight being cossetted at the Boglerhof Hotel in the village of Alpbach. We enjoy the walks around the area and find new routes every time we visit. This holiday began at the end of August's summer sunshine and ended in autumn's first mists and snowfall. It was magical seeing the seasons switch in the mountains from the comfort of a Sonnjoch room on the 4th flour. As always the service and the food are very good. We ate from the Austrian menu most nights. The meat and fish dishes are particularly good and are beautifully presented. A lot of care goes into the menus. Breakfasts are consistently good and we were pleased to see that the range of seeds, nuts, fruits for Bircher museli fans has been expanded. We enjoy using the vegetable juicer and the fresh orange juice machine. This year we noticed they provide Hausbrot sourdough loaves from the local bakery. Delicious! The new spa is spacious and well equipped. We used the new communal areas to swim and sauna most afternoons. The separate treatments, facial and hot stone massage, were good. The young saunameister was very talented with his twice daily event saunas - lovely herbal scents and light shows. It would be great to add further events with classical music and ambient sounds. On a couple of afternoons I used the old spa area (now called called the family spa) which was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. We can honestly say we felt ten years younger by the time we returned to the UK!

This is my second visit this year I just love this hotel now with 5 stars. From the moment you arrive you are a friend the lady’s and gentlemen on the reception greet you with a smile and warmth . The room are stylish with a modern touch but still Austrian the new rooms in the new spa area are stunning one of the guests show me there suite. It was unbelievable with exceptional views. Food. One word 5 star Breakfast has all the hot and cold things to set you up for the day. There is also a small lunch buffet and then the afternoon cakes simply delicious. Dinner a truly 5 star event 6 courses and a choice of 3 menus so you can mix and match The kitchen team led by Hansi Treichl just outstanding the food is a delicious a joy for your taste buds There is all so an optional tasting menu on Thursday Friday Saturday 3/5/7 courses. Well worth the extra for a unique experience. The hotel has over 400 wines on its list. And with wine sommelier Hannes Margreiter on hand you can not go wrong. Their house wine is also hand crafted. There is a very nice bar with music 2 times a week On Tuesdays mr Duftner hosts a wine tasting in the 300 year old cellar it free and to try it Are are walks most days with a resident guide. All this is overseen by the Duftner family with love and care for each of there guests. I went on an INGHAMS package there the only uk company to use them you will not be disappointed.

Always staying here a few times a year, sometimes with the family and kids and sometimes alone. There is nothing you could wish for here! Great rooms, the spa is amazing and has so much to offer for both adults and kids, summer or winter. Outstanding service and all the staff are very friendly and caring and always greet you with a smile.
